Tornado Flood Recovery How You Can Help

Tornado & Flood Recovery: How You Can Help

At least 136 people were killed by a tornado that hit Joplin, Missouri, on Sunday, May 22.  Reports estimate that 75% of the town has been destroyed and many residents are still unaccounted for.  This devastating event follows in the wake of other recent major storms and tornadoes that have ravaged cities and towns across several southern states (Alabama, Georgia, Missouri, Mississippi, Arkansas, Virginia and Tennessee).  The region is facing severe flooding, forecasted to be as powerful as the Great Mississippi Flood of 1927.  Mississippi and Louisiana have issued flood warnings and declared states of emergency.
